What is a stand-up pouch / flat pouch?

A pouch is ideal for packaging powders, pastes and liquids and for preserving special flavors for a long time. The task of the pouch is to protect its contents from external influences. Pouch packaging is particularly popular because it can be used to package a wide variety of products in a practical and material-saving way.
 

Where is pouch packaging applied?

Pouch packaging has high barrier properties and can therefore be used in many areas. If you want to ship coffee, the pouch ensures that the aroma is preserved. If you want to send a nutritional supplement powder, you can fill larger quantities of powder into the pouch and your product is still packed in a space-saving way. For liquid products such as soap, the pouch keeps the liquid safely inside. As you can see, pouches can be used in all kinds of industries such as food, pet food or cosmetics.

1. Which types of pouches are there?

Our pouch packaging is available in three different variations. The Doypack is a stand-up pouch and can stand upright and securely thanks to its extra bottom. The Doypack is available in five practical standard formats. Our alternative to the doypack is the so-called stand-up pouch with K-bottom. this bag is identical in construction to the Doypack, but can be configured online in free format and without additional tooling costs. Unlike the other pouches, the flat bag cannot stand upright. Like the K-Seal stand-up pouch, the flat pouch can be configured in your desired format.


2. What materials are there?

To ensure that your product is protected in the best possible way, our pouches are made from particularly high-quality, specially developed materials. You can choose from the following materials:
 
  • PET / PE + EVOH, white: This composite material has particularly good barrier properties for oxygen, water vapor and aroma.
  • PET / PE + EVOH, transparent: This composite material has particularly good barrier properties for oxygen, water vapor and aroma. In addition, you can use this material to provide your stand-up pouch or flat pouch with an individual viewing window.
  • metPET/PE, metallic: This composite material has particularly good barrier properties for oxygen, water vapor and aroma. You can also use this material to enhance your stand-up pouch or flat pouch with eye-catching metallic effects.

3. Which suspensions and options are available?

However, our stand-up pouches and flat pouches are not only available in different materials, you can also add the following specifications online:

  • Tear-off tabs: to open / tear off your sealed pouch
 

How do I create print data?

You have found the right pouch packaging for your product? Then it's only one step before you can hold your own pouch packaging in your hands: Create your print data. First you download the print template in our pouch configurator, which you can design individually using a graphics program such as Illustrator. Then you upload your print data either directly in the shopping cart or after the order. For a data upload after your order, we will automatically send you a separate email, which you can use to upload the data afterwards.
